Posted in State July 15, 2023 ANDERSON – Today, Indiana State Detectives were requested to investigate a shooting that took place around 12 a.m. this morning in Anderson. Investigations determined that Deputy Robert Lemon, a four-year veteran with the Madison department, had been patrolling around 5th and Jackson streets, and had stopped at a light at the intersection when individuals at the Jackson Mart gas station fired shots in his general direction. Lemon left his vehicle and returned fire at least with one shot from his side-arm.
