ANDERSON — In the most recent court filing the organizations seeking new maps for the Anderson City Council maintain the council rejected assistance at no cost to taxpayers The three organizations that have filed a federal lawsuit against the Anderson City Council concerning redistricting wants the judge to prevent any future elections until new maps are created. Earlier this year Common Cause Indiana, League of Women Voters and the Anderson-Madison County NAACP filed a lawsuit contending the city council violated federal law by not redistricting following the 2020 census.
